Let Rikos dial back costs by retrofitting inefficient vertical fan coil units.

VFC units are so popular in condos and hotels, that you may have never given them much thought. But in buildings more than 20 years old, that unassuming wall panel conceals an outdated, inefficient and filthy machine. What’s worse: that outdated VFC unit is adding pollutants to your air and dollars to your hydro bill.

In the past, repairing or replacing a VFC unit was impossible without disruption and damage to your living space. This process was destructive, and expensive.

But now, equipped with state-of-the-art retrofit vertical fan coil units, Rikos is ready to bring your HVAC system into the 21st century. The ingenious design of these units allows for installation within the existing enclosure, while providing superior performance well into the future.

What are you waiting for?
Go retro with Rikos.

Rikos’ qualified staff can install a retrofit VFC unit in the time you can cross the city on the 401. Well, at rush hour, anyway. Here’s the plan once our technicians arrive:

  • First, we tarp the area surrounding the VFC enclosure. Keeping your home clean and tidy is our first priority—like we were never there at all.
  • Next, our technicians remove the access panel and shut off water and electricity to the unit, before removing all existing components.
  • Then, we thoroughly clean out the enclosure before installing brand new insulation.
  • Now, time for the main event: We insert the retrofit VFC unit into the enclosure, reconnect water and electricity, and test all functions. (CHP)
  • Finally, we replace the access panel and clean up after ourselves—because we’re good houseguests, after all!
